AP7 is active in the repurchase market via the AP7 Fixed Income Fund. A repurchase involves selling a security to a counterparty with the promise to buy it back at a fixed price. During the term of the repurchase agreement the proceeds from the sale can be invested to generate income. AP7 uses repo agreements to improve investment returns.
