AP7 manages premium pension assets on behalf of Swedish savers.
Just over 6 million people are currently enrolled in the premium pension system. Of them, 2.6 million have not made an active investment choice and their premium pension assets are therefore managed by AP7.
AP7 has so far achieved higher investment returns than the average for all premium pension funds. As of May 2010, AP7 Såfa is the default state-managed premium pension fund, offering higher expected returns than its predecessor, the Premium Savings Fund.
AP7 Såfa also offers a variety of other benefits compared to other premium pension funds.
- Såfa takes a "life cycle" approach that adjusts risk to the saver's age
- Såfa's risk profile is tailored to match income pensions
- Såfa's fund management fees are among the lowest of all premium pension funds
AP7 now also offers three new state-managed fund portfolios for people who wish to choose their own level of risk: AP7 Offensiv, AP7 Balanserad and AP7 Försiktig.
You can also choose the AP7 Equity Fund and AP7 Fixed Income Fund from the Swedish Pension Agency's list of mutual funds.
