The AP7 board of directors is a team of professionals with extensive expertise in business, finance and the financial markets. The board bears the ultimate responsibility for the fund to the government and parliament.
Per Frennberg (Chairman of the board)
Freelancing Investment specialist. Earlier at the occupational pension company Alectas Asset Management as a strategist, portfolio manager, interest manager and asset management manager. Before that, researcher and teacher in financial economics at the School of Economics at Lund University.
Director-General of the Fondation de Luxembourg. Former CEO and Country Manager of ABN AMRO Bank (Luxembourg) S.A., CEO of Banco Fonder and Senior Vice President of ABN AMRO Asset Management with responsibility for sustainable investments.
Emma Ihre (Vice chairman of the board)
Head of sustainability at Mannheimer Swartling. Earlier responsible for sustainable entrepreneurship at the Ministry of Finance, Head of Corporate Engagement at Ethix SRI Advisors, and Managing Director of Amnesty Business Group. Chairman of the Swedish Financial Analysts Sustainability Group and board member of the Nordkinn Hedge Fund, Smarta Samtal and Global Compact Sweden.
Economist and professor at Stockholm University. Between 2009-2014 she was one of five deputy chairmen for the swedish central bank. From 2014 and the beginning of 2019, Karolina Ekholm was State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance.
Board member of the Hong Kong company Hop Lun and former Managing Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch (Asia Pacific) Ltd.
Vice President of Kunskapsskolan AB. Former member of parliament (MP) where she has been the party’s economic-political spokesperson and member of the Finance Committee. In 2012-2013, she was vice-chair of the Friskolans national association and 2013-2016 chair of the same organization. Valtersson is also a member of the Board of Axfoundation, Antonia Ax:son Johnson’s Sustainability Foundation and in the think tank Fores.
Chief economist at Svensk Försäkring since 2019. Previously he was active seven years at Folksam Liv, including as head of the Risk Department. Prior to that, he worked for 16 years in various positions within the Swedish Riksbank and for two years as a national expert in the European Commission.
In 2012, Vestman began his academic career at the Department of Economics in Stockholm, where he now works as an associate professor. Prior to that, he was a post-doc at SIFR and defended his dissertation in 2010 at NYU with Thomas Sargent as head supervisor. The same Thomas Sargent who in 2011 was awarded Sveriges Riksbank’s prize in economic science in memory of Alfred Nobel. He has also, since 2014, been linked to the Swedish House of Finance, where he is a guest researcher.
Former President and CEO of Vectura Fastigheter AB 2015-2019. Worked as CFO at Investor AB, CFO at SVT and has also worked within the Scania Group in various positions.
