AP7 Fixed Income Fund

AP7 Fixed Income Fund, whose function is to stabilize the risk in AP7 Såfa, consists of bonds issued in Swedish kronor. These bonds typically have an average interest rate fixation period, known as duration, of three years.

All fixed income management within the AP7 Fixed Income Fund is handled by AP7’s in-house investment managers.

Investment Strategy

The fund’s strategy is to invest its assets in Swedish interest-bearing financial instruments with low credit risk. To enable broader diversification within the segment of green bonds, investments in such instruments may also be made in currencies other than Swedish kronor. Holdings in currencies other than SEK must be currency-hedged within the limits set by the fund’s regulations.

A sustainable development approach shall be promoted, and sustainability aspects shall be integrated into the fund management in accordance with AP7’s Climate Action Plan. This is primarily achieved through investments in green bonds.

The management of the AP7 Fixed Income Fund is guided by a reference portfolio, which consists of 100% fixed-income investments with an average duration of approximately three years, including deposits.

A maximum of 30% of the assets in the AP7 Fixed Income Fund may be placed in deposits.
